FAQ
What kinds of watermarks can Octo remove?
Text watermarks, semi-transparent logos, date stamps, blemishes and other unwanted overlaid objects. Results are best when the masked area is small relative to the full image and sits on a natural or repeating background.
How do I select the area to remove?
Use the brush tool to paint over the watermark or object. Adjust brush size to cover small text precisely or larger logos quickly. Then click Remove Watermark to start the inpainting.
How does Octo fill in the removed area?
An AI model analyses the surrounding pixels and reconstructs a plausible fill. Results are best on natural backgrounds — sky, grass, walls, simple patterns. Complex backgrounds with fine structure may need a second pass.
Can I redo the mask after seeing the result?
Yes. Use the Edit Mask button to go back and adjust the painted area, then run removal again for a cleaner result.
What formats does Octo accept?
JPEG and PNG as input. The result is always downloaded as PNG to preserve quality after inpainting.
Does my image get uploaded to a server?
No. The AI model runs locally inside your browser. Your images never leave your device and are not stored anywhere.
